Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resource Partner to join our team at the University of Vermont. As a key member of our HR team, you will provide complex, strategic HR guidance to university leaders and act as an advocate for employees and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with unit leaders to ensure unit HR goals are achieved and aligned with organizational initiatives.
  • Act as an advocate for employees and management, fostering accountability and providing guidance and support for labor-related items.
  • Partner with HR colleagues in HR Centers of Excellence and other University partners to ensure value-added and integrated service to UVM employees.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of HR experience in a professional role, with union experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and effective written and verbal communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team and success working with a range of culturally and ethnically diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SPHR / PHR certification.
  • Anticipated Pay Range $64,000-$74,000.
