Stovepipe Wells in Death Valley National Park - Experience the Extraordinary. Stovepipe Wells features an 80-room lodging facility, dining options, a bar, swimming pool, fuel station, general store, and gift shop. This resort is dedicated to providing a welcoming, secure, and eco-friendly environment for guests visiting Death Valley National Park. Future enhancements are planned to refresh accommodations and dining experiences for all visitors. POWDR manages Stovepipe Wells under a long-term agreement with the National Park Service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and assist guests, addressing inquiries and explaining policies.
  • Manage phone communications, handle bookings, and respond to guest questions.
  • Carefully oversee reservation processes with attention to detail.
  • Maintain records of occupied and available rooms and RV sites. Provide maps, park regulations, and local information.
  • Guide guests to their accommodations, RV sites, and NPS campsites.
  • Inform guests about the whereabouts of family or friends.
  • Stay informed about local attractions and services that guests may request, such as dining options, convenience stores, refreshments, places of worship, tourist sites, and community events.
  • Perform basic maintenance duties in shared areas to ensure a clean and appealing environment. Report any disturbances or damages to the Operations Manager. Each hotel must be cleaned after guests check out and before new arrivals.
  • Front Desk Staff are not authorized to discipline or detain park violators.
  • Report all disturbances to the Operations Manager or designated personnel for appropriate action.
  • Inform guests of park rules and regulations.
  • Exemplify professionalism and knowledge while adhering to all regulations and maintaining good housekeeping practices.
  • Participate in visitor satisfaction surveys and follow up as necessary.
  • Be vigilant for situations requiring immediate attention and notify the Operations Manager as issues arise.
  • Document guest complaints and feedback regarding park facilities, reporting any health and safety concerns and maintenance needs.
  • Address employee matters in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Foster a positive and enjoyable work environment by promoting positivity and fun in daily operations.
  • Learn and apply the ESQ program, including environmental, safety, and quality responsibilities and requirements.
