Key Responsibilities:
The Quality Assurance Engineer will oversee daily quality functions, including containment, inspection sorting, rework, and incoming parts inspection on the production floor. This role also involves collaborating with Quality, Process, and Manufacturing Engineers to address specific requests and concerns, ensuring that quality standards are upheld across all operations. The engineer will also be cross-trained in various skills and perform essential level II tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality-related role
  • Strong mathematical skills for applied statistics
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, charts, and graphs
  • Proficient in software applications, including databases, spreadsheets, and word processing
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with TS16949 and ISO14001 standards

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience

Essential Duties:
  • Provide feedback to associates and management to identify root causes and enhance process performance
  • Document internal non-conformances regularly
  • Deliver statistical summaries for shipments
  • Conduct additional reporting as required
  • Primarily interact with internal stakeholders
  • Perform training for operators on part inspection
  • Ensure compliance with material certification
  • Conduct audits of ongoing products
  • Measure samples and manage labeling/repacking
  • Process various transactions and support returns
  • Act as a backup for the Team Leader when necessary
