Your Impact:

The Family Engagement Coordinator acts as the primary link between families, educators, and school staff. This role is responsible for implementing and overseeing initiatives that encourage parental involvement in their children's education, aligning with the institution's objectives. The coordinator will assist school leadership in documenting and enhancing parental engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the main point of contact between families, educators, and school personnel.
  • Collaborate with school staff and leadership to develop and sustain ongoing family engagement activities that support academic success.
  • Provide guidance and resources to enhance the school's capacity for effective family involvement initiatives aimed at improving student performance.
  • Encourage effective communication between families and educators through various channels, including conferences and progress reports.
  • Support and promote family participation in school events and meetings.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by fostering positive relationships with school staff and external partners.
  • Assist families in understanding academic standards and how to track their child's progress.
  • Organize and facilitate parenting workshops and community outreach activities.
  • Provide families with information about available public and private resources.
  • Recruit and manage volunteers for school programs and events.
  • Perform administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated with a commitment to customer service.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Two years of experience in family relations or community outreach.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to travel as required for job duties.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to manage a high volume of work and engage with diverse groups.
  • Proficient in tasks requiring fine motor skills.
  • Effective communication skills, particularly in conveying important information.
  • Ability to hear and understand normal conversations.
  • Visual acuity necessary for document preparation and review.
