Position Overview

Compensation: $0 per hour

At Great Wolf Lodge, the IT Support Technician plays a crucial role in delivering technical assistance for the lodge's systems. Reporting to the IT Manager, the responsibilities encompass workstation and printer setup and upkeep throughout the facility, managing local servers, and overseeing network performance, hardware functionality, connectivity, and data backups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with on-site personnel regarding system-related challenges associated with the Property Management System (PMS) and Point of Sale (POS).
  • Proactively monitor and manage the network, operating systems, security protocols, backups, and servers relevant to the lodge's operational systems.
  • Assemble, disassemble, repair, install, and remove computers and related equipment sanctioned by the corporate office.
  • Guide and train staff in utilizing systems to ensure adherence to established company policies.
  • Engage in job-related training, workshops, conventions, and personal development opportunities as directed.
  • Administer and uphold compliance with GWR license agreements for budget accuracy.
  • Work in close collaboration with members of the GWR IT team.
  • Maintain precise inventories of equipment while ensuring a well-organized, safe, and clean workspace.
  • Assist corporate IT with projects and support issues, whether in the field or at the corporate office.
  • Prioritize projects and manage support tasks at the lodge.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to keep the knowledge base current among property staff.

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate's degree in IT or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Solid knowledge of O365, Microsoft Office, network technologies and concepts (TCP/IP, SMTP, Ethernet, Wide Area Networks), desktop/mobile operating systems, hardware, and audio/visual support experience.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications & Attributes

  • Microsoft Certification.
  • Prior IT experience in the hospitality or entertainment industry.
  • Experience with SCCM administration and familiarity with Cisco and server virtualization.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Positive and enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Capability to bend, stretch, and twist.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
