Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist to join our team at Providence Health & Services. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional care to our patients through the performance of high-quality echocardiograms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct transthoracic echocardiograms with proficiency for both inpatients and outpatients.
- Assist physicians in the technical execution of transesophageal echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms.
- Complete patient documentation and manage report processing in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the Echocardiology department.
- Collaborate closely with the Cardiovascular Imaging Manager on departmental matters.
Qualifications:
- A degree from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound Program.
- Upon hire, certification as a National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of one year of experience in adult echocardiography.
- Familiarity with transesophageal and stress echocardiography techniques.
