Position Overview

This position is for multiple openings at Providence Health & Services.

We currently have full-time day shifts available.

As a Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist, you will deliver exceptional care to patients by performing transthoracic echocardiograms with expertise for both inpatients and outpatients. You will assist physicians with the technical aspects of transesophageal echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms, ensuring all patient worksheets are completed and reports processed in accordance with departmental protocols. Your active participation in quality improvement initiatives will contribute to the ongoing development of the Echocardiology department. Collaboration with the Cardiovascular Imaging Manager will be essential for addressing departmental matters.

Required Qualifications:
  • A degree from a Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound Program or an accredited program by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
  • Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or
  • Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of experience in adult echocardiography.
  • Experience with transesophageal and stress echocardiography.

Compensation Information

The amounts listed represent the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, including shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
