Position Overview

Compensation: $0 per hour

At Great Wolf Lodge, the IT Systems Maintenance Expert plays a crucial role in delivering technical assistance for the lodge's operational systems. Reporting to the IT Manager, this position encompasses a variety of responsibilities including the installation and upkeep of workstations and printers across the resort, managing local servers, and overseeing network performance, hardware functionality, connectivity, and data backups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with on-site personnel regarding system-related challenges associated with the Property Management System (PMS) and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Proactively monitor and manage the network, workstation operating systems, security protocols, data backups, and servers pertinent to the resort's IT infrastructure.
  • Assemble, disassemble, repair, install, and remove computers and related equipment as authorized by corporate standards.
  • Guide and train staff in the effective use of systems to ensure adherence to established company policies.
  • Engage in job-related training, workshops, conventions, and personal development opportunities as directed.
  • Administer and uphold compliance with GWR licensing agreements for budget accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively with the GWR IT team.
  • Maintain precise inventories of equipment while ensuring a tidy, organized, and safe workspace.
  • Support corporate IT initiatives and address related issues in the field or at the corporate office.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage support responsibilities at the resort.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to keep staff knowledge current.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Solid understanding of O365, Microsoft Office, network technologies and concepts (TCP/IP, SMTP, Ethernet, Wide Area Networks), desktop/mobile operating systems, hardware, and audio/visual support.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications & Attributes

  • Microsoft Certification.
  • Prior IT experience in the hospitality or entertainment sectors.
  • Experience with SCCM administration and familiarity with Cisco and server virtualization.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Positive and enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Capable of bending, stretching, and twisting.
  • Able to stand or sit for extended periods.
