Job Summary

As a Facilities Management Assistant Director at Compass Group Careers, you will oversee and direct programs to ensure the maintenance, utilities, and equipment on the hospital campus are running smoothly. You will assist the Director with day-to-day operations and coordinate construction and renovation projects as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and evaluate existing programs, services, policies, and procedures to ensure they are effective and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor the quality and flow of work to ensure timely completion of tasks, including preventive and corrective maintenance, construction projects, financial management, and energy controls.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets and utilities energy savings programs.
  • Lead and ensure regulatory compliance with the Joint Commission, State Health Department, EPA, ADA, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Provide guidance, training, and motivation to staff.
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships to drive business growth.
  • Monitor work performance and prepare performance evaluations for assigned personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering or facilities management.
  • 3-5 years of management experience in a hospital setting, preferably with a focus on facilities management.
  • CHFM certification is highly preferred.
  • HVAC license and FLSD certification are also preferred.
  • Proven experience with regulatory compliance, including the Joint Commission.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering, plant operations methods, and maintenance techniques.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and transmit complex written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop staff.
