Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Plant Office Administrator to join our team at Vulcan Materials Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating customer orders, performing daily plant duties, and preparing monthly financial information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate customer orders, ensuring timely and accurate ticketing and dispatch of trucks.
  • Perform daily administrative tasks, including purchase orders, payables, time cards, and fuel usage tracking.
  • Prepare month-end closing information and detailed analyses of monthly margin and cost statements.
  • Serve as plant contact, receiving guests and answering phones, and assist with scale clerk duties as needed.
  • Maintain inventory levels, prepare correspondence, reports, and manuals, and work with HR and Safety departments on personnel and safety issues.
Requirements
  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related field.
  • Fundamental understanding of accounting principles and common office practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and ability to use computers and electronic devices.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Unyielding integrity and honesty in business transactions, and commitment to promoting company policies and values.
