Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and conduct surveillance on equipment as assigned on shift in coordination with the control operator and under the supervision of the Duty Shift Superintendent and Duty Operating Supervisor.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment, adhering to licensed operating and emergency procedures, safety rules, and regulations.
  • Perform housekeeping in assigned areas, maintain and clean equipment, and perform other duties as required during emergencies, drills, refueling, or maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the control operator and supervisors to ensure informed decision-making and effective communication.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Pass the Plant Operator Selection System-Nuclear (POSS) test.
  • Unescorted access to the nuclear plant as required by Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) security requirements.
