Job Summary

The Oregon Health & Science University is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Consultant to join our integrated care team. As a core member of the team, you will provide primary care behavioral health interventions, including proactive patient identification, brief interventions, and crisis intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient services, including assessments, treatment planning, and cognitive-behavioral counseling strategies.
  • Participate in behavioral health case management as part of a multi-disciplinary team to address complex patient needs.
  • Document services appropriately in the electronic health record to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain technology fluency in support of in-clinic and telehealth services.
  • Engage with teams and stakeholders to maintain a professional presence for the clinic.
Requirements
  • Master's Social Work (MSW) degree required.
  • Experience in behavioral health counseling and brief short-term therapy strategies and case management is required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the clinic and learning environment.
  • Ability to contribute to the success of the organization through support of and seeking out diversified ideas and perspectives.
  • Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed and patient-centered care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training in Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH).
  • Experience as a Behavioral Health Consultant in a Primary Care setting.
  • Experience as a clinician in primary care or healthcare setting.
  • Experience in clinical teaching as a field instructor with social work students.
