Drive Growth and Success in Oncology Practice Development

At Cardinal Health, we're committed to empowering community oncology practices to deliver exceptional patient-centered care. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in driving complex sales and developing strategic partnerships to meet our sales objectives.

This exciting opportunity is for a seasoned Business Development Director to lead the acquisition of new physician practices and drive growth through in-market affiliations. You'll cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers, develop deep knowledge of our product portfolio, and collaborate with other business units to drive integrated selling opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within accounts and develop deep knowledge of the customer organization and product portfolio
  • Collaborate with other business units with Cardinal Health Specialty to drive integrated selling opportunities/solutions to closure
  • Provide status reports to leaders on sales activities with accounts or events
  • Develop and maintain new target account files
  • Develop and generate new business development leads
  • Closing business to exceed revenue targets
  • Using sound financial judgement, attend client meetings and conferences as necessary to grow business
  • Initiate proposals and participate in proposal writing process, as necessary and applicable
  • Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of price quotations, terms of sale and timelines according to company policy and within corporate guidelines
  • Assist as requested in the development of functional strategy

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated matrix management skills; Working knowledge of CRM; preferred experience with SalesForce.
  • Strong community oncology operations understanding/experience preferred
  • Excellent planning, forecasting, financial and negotiation skills
  • Executive presence and solid presentation and communication capabilities
  • Strong brand promotion knowledge
  • Resourceful networking skills
  • Ability to function effectively as a team member through remote relationships
  • Ability to travel 50-75 percent; mostly virtual
