Job Description

Job Summary:

Dessert Holdings Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Team Lead to oversee the production area and ensure the delivery of high-quality desserts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing leadership and be able to motivate and guide a team to achieve production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Oversight: Coordinate department activities to ensure timely production and quality standards are met.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of 8-16 individuals to achieve production goals.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with the team, supervisor, and other departments to ensure seamless production.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all products meet quality standards and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure a safe working environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for production.
  • Training and Development: Train new employees and provide guidance to the team to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in food production.
  • Language: Bilingual English and Spanish or Somali (speaking, writing, and reading) preferred.
  • Skills: Resourceful, problem-solving, and self-motivated individual with reliable transportation.
