Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity in the food production sector? Doherty Staffing Solutions is collaborating with a prominent food manufacturing organization. We are currently in search of candidates for the role of Cutting Food Production Technician on the night shift. This position operates during the hours of 5:00pm to 3:00am, from Monday to Thursday. The compensation for these contract roles ranges from $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities of the Cutting Food Production Technician:
  • Configure the cutter or manual line based on the product specifications
  • Conduct preoperational safety inspections (including guarding, emergency stops, and safety devices)
  • Manage changeovers and input settings into inline cutters, outfeed conveyors, and merge tables
  • Maintain product identity and accurately track lot numbers
  • Ensure the quality of cuts and the final presentation of the product before packaging (such as slice count and centering)
  • Adhere to all good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
  • Comply with all safety regulations
Qualifications for the Cutting Food Production Technician Role:
  • High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience
  • 6 months to 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Understanding of factory policies regarding safety, quality, and GMPs is preferred
  • Demonstrate normal to excellent manual dexterity, motor skills, and hand-eye coordination
  • Exhibit professionalism, tact, and clear communication at all times
  • Ability to work in an environment that processes products containing allergens, including but not limited to: milk, soy, wheat, egg, tree nuts, and peanuts
