Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Installation Specialist to join our team at Industrial Trade Services. This role involves working with carbon piping systems and requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and analyze P&ID's and isometric drawings to accurately assess the scope of work, including material requirements and specifications.
  • Design, fabricate, and install pipe spools based on provided spool sheets.
  • Utilize flame cutting techniques to prepare pipe to specified lengths and bevels, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for fitting.
  • Conduct layout, rigging, and transportation of pipes, valves, and fittings.
  • Thread pipes using appropriate machinery and bend pipes manually or with specialized tools.
  • Plan installation sequences to navigate around obstructions and coordinate with other trades.
  • Select and operate manual, pneumatic, and electric tools effectively for various tasks.
  • Safely hoist equipment and tools into position using rigging or crane operations.
  • Employ proper hand signals when working with heavy equipment operators.
  • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
  • Conduct leak testing on piping systems using hydro-testing equipment to ensure integrity.
  • Secure pipes to structural supports using brackets, clamps, and hangers with hand and power tools.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in pipefitting within industrial or petrochemical environments.
  • NCCER certification is advantageous.
  • A strong understanding of industry-standard practices and procedures.
