IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at Arauco. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and troubleshooting for all users, as well as maintaining and supporting all information systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install, support, and maintain all information systems, including computer equipment, software, and phone systems.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for all users, including remote support for local salespeople.
- Maintain and support local phone system, including mobile devices and mobile applications.
- Work with vendors on network issues and billing issues if needed.
- Provide training for all new hardware and software used on site and perform network orientations for new hires.
- Responsible for maintaining server room environment, including climate control systems, PDU, and backup power systems.
- Respond to IT requests through corporate IT helpdesk software and document all IT hardware/software changes.
- Computer troubleshooting knowledge and skills, including MS active directory, current Windows desktop and server operating systems, Cisco and HP switches, software, phone systems (mobile and landline).
- Working knowledge of VMWare ESXi environment operations and maintenance.
- Soft Skills: good written and verbal communication, dealing with frustrated customers internal and external, working as a team, able to work unsupervised, able to train/educate users of various skill levels.
The IT Support Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, providing technical assistance and troubleshooting for all users. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and problem-solving skills.
Education and ExperienceA degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience in IT support and maintenance.
