Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team at Industrial Trade Services. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing pipes and piping systems in various industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret piping diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required.
  • Layout, fabricate, and install pipe spools from spool sheets, ensuring accurate measurements and fit-ups.
  • Flame cut pipe to length, bevel, clean, and prepare pipe for fit-up, using manual and power tools.
  • Thread pipe using threading machines and bend pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machines.
  • Plan the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Properly select and use manual, pneumatic, and electric tools according to tasks, and hoist equipment and tools into location via bull rigging or crane.
  • Load, transport, and unload material, tools, equipment, and supplies, and properly test piping systems for leaks using hydro-testing equipment.
  • Secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools, and help maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pipefitting in an industrial or petrochemical setting.
  • NCCER certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to pass a craft test.
