Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources to join our team at GradBay. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all people-related functions, ensuring that our employees have the support and resources they need to thrive in a compassionate and mission-driven health care environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, as well as experience in human resources, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that support a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the People Services team, ensuring alignment with company values and organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and retention processes to attract and retain top talent in the health care sector.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Oversee employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for staff development, training, and engagement initiatives.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts to ensure a welcoming and supportive environment for all employees.
  • Manage benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
  • Analyze HR metrics to drive informed decision-making and improvements in people management processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in human resources, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Knowledge of health care industry HR practices is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust, manage conflict, and foster a positive organizational culture.
  • Experience with HR information systems (HRIS) and recruitment platforms.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification is a plus.
