Position Overview
This role is entirely remote and necessitates full-time travel. It is compensated on an hourly basis, and with travel, overtime, and additional earnings, technicians have the potential to earn over $100,000 annually.

Department Overview
The resource department operates within the broader operations division, providing essential support to service locations and construction initiatives through skilled technicians and field personnel. This department plays a crucial role in ensuring that qualified technicians and contractor personnel are available as needed for service and construction operations, which is vital for the timely execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work overtime, including adapting to a flexible work schedule to achieve business objectives.
  • Serve as a safety ambassador, promoting safe practices and intervening in unsafe situations. Comply with all safety protocols and identify potential safety risks, offering effective risk mitigation strategies to higher-level technical staff and management.
  • Exhibit integrity and professionalism while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality. May assist in or conduct basic quality audits.
  • Perform intermediate-level maintenance and installation tasks on wind turbines as assigned, utilizing various tools, including specialized calibration and hydraulic equipment. Document tasks as required and input data into the company system.
  • Gather and analyze information regarding turbine performance and issues, diagnosing and implementing solutions for routine problems while seeking assistance for more complex issues.
  • Follow a structured problem-solving approach to troubleshoot and diagnose issues, using diagnostic tools effectively. Complete tasks with minimal supervision, adhering to maintenance schedules and instructions from senior technical staff.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by assisting colleagues in achieving objectives and mentoring junior technical staff. Support team initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Engage with customers and address inquiries, referring complex issues to senior technical staff or management as necessary. Maintain a professional customer service demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Post-secondary education (e.g., wind school, trade school, college) or a minimum of two years of experience in the wind industry, particularly in electrical work, including the ability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with intermediate-level power tools, including hydraulic and diagnostic equipment.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety practices and protocols, with the ability to conduct detailed inspections and report findings.
  • Valid Driver's License and capability to obtain a Passport.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with internet navigation and data interpretation.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics to validate work activities and identify risks.
