Vestas is seeking a highly skilled Technical & Safety Training Specialist to deliver wind turbine technical training and safety courses to internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver training programs to Vestas technicians and customers on Vestas products and safety protocols.
  • Ensure participants meet all learning objectives and standards, such as GWO, during course delivery.
  • Organize and conduct classroom presentations and practical exercises to create a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Travel to deliver training to customers and Vestas technicians at various locations, including operational wind turbines.
  • Develop and maintain expertise on Vestas products, policies, and procedures to support training.
  • Support training administration by completing forms and updating records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of Vestas technical and safety courses.
  • Maintain personal development timelines to ensure teaching capabilities.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of technical education and experience on wind turbines or similar equipment.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the wind industry or equipment similar to wind turbines.
  • Experience delivering formal training programs, on-the-job training, or peer mentoring.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Positive response to feedback.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, consulting with knowledge experts to present accurate information.
  • Good planning and organizational skills to ensure course requirements are met.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex concepts to various audiences.
  • Ability to navigate company policies and procedures related to wind technician job requirements.
  • Focus on safe work methods in an industrial environment.
  • Technical knowledge of wind turbine operations, maintenance, and safe work methods.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, including PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in Document Management System and Change Request System.
  • Effective communication in English.
  • Ability to work and conduct training in wind turbines, climb heights, access confined spaces, and work at heights.
  • Travel approximately 10% or less.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport and visa if required.
