Position Summary:

The Environmental Services Floor Foreperson is responsible for upholding environmental and infection control standards in accordance with the established policies and procedures of a healthcare facility. This role involves coordinating staff to execute various cleaning tasks, ensuring the maintenance of patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other designated areas. Additionally, the Foreperson will manage the distribution and inventory of clean Microfiber supplies to user departments and maintain adequate stock levels on nursing floors.

Key Responsibilities:
1. *Oversee and guide assigned Environmental Services Technicians to ensure effective cleaning practices with a focus on infection control.
2. *Maintain professional relationships with site contacts, including unit Custody Officers and medical personnel, ensuring services align with contractual obligations and addressing any service-related issues.
3. *Plan and prioritize tasks while ensuring compliance with procedures, regulations, and guidelines to minimize errors and enhance safety.
4. *Participate in regular staff meetings, preparing necessary materials such as agendas and attendance lists.
5. *Train and mentor both new and existing staff on proper procedures, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
6. *Collaborate with Environmental Services Technicians to fulfill contractual obligations.
7. *Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and properly signed.
8. *Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Six months to one year of experience in custodial services or building maintenance, including supervisory responsibilities.
2. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or physical challenges is preferred.
3. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
4. Familiarity with departmental operations and policies.
5. Proficiency in using computer applications such as word processing and spreadsheets.
6. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly.
7. Ability to build effective working relationships with staff and clients.
8. Basic mathematical skills for operational tasks.

Mental and Physical Requirements:
This position requires sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform effectively in physically and mentally demanding situations.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.

Work Environment:
Work is conducted in a healthcare facility with specific security and environmental control needs. Employees may encounter various conditions, including exposure to cleaning agents and infectious materials, and may be required to work extended hours.
