Position Overview:
The Fire Safety Systems Technician will respond to service requests from the Service Resource Center, which includes a concise overview of equipment or system issues. This role involves engaging with customer representatives to identify and diagnose equipment or system malfunctions, followed by executing repairs and maintenance on electronic fire alarm systems and associated building system products at various customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct service, troubleshooting, and installation of diverse manufacturers' Fire & Life Safety systems, including SimplexGrinnell.
- Interpret and analyze blueprints, diagrams, specifications, software systems, programs, schematics, and operational manuals.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills by maintaining clear communication with district staff and clients to ensure satisfaction.
- Complete Service Acknowledgements accurately using communication devices such as smartphones and laptops.
- Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation and assist in training or mentoring fellow service team members.
- Overnight travel may be necessary.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of six (6) years of experience in low voltage electrical systems, encompassing Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems.
- Possession of a State of Washington Fire Alarm License or the ability to obtain one within the first three months of employment.
- Proficient in using test equipment, multimeters, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices.
- Maintain vehicle inventory to ensure prompt response to customer needs.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time and work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer demands.
- Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
- Ability to work in challenging positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, as well as working in ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
