We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to lead our Fire Protection team in the Spokane Region. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Suppression, Portables (Fire Extinguishers) and Fire Alarm teams, ensuring they meet or exceed revenue and margin targets, and maintaining high employee and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Manage, coach, mentor, lead and conduct annual reviews for fire sprinkler field and administration team members.
- Business Growth: Ensure fire sprinkler team revenue and margin targets, and utilization, quality, and scheduling KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Mentorship and Training: Participate in regular site visits with fire sprinkler field team members for mentorship, training, and validation of performance.
- Industry Relations: Lead efforts to develop relationships with local authorities, key industry associations, and other important industry networks to influence code and enforcement development in favor of our business and our customers.
- Culture and Engagement: Foster exchanges of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities; inspire and motivate fire sprinkler employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement.
- Process Improvement: Improve processes and maintain positive culture with in-office teams and field teams, to uphold PSI values and continue down the path of PSI being top in our industry.
- Financial Management: Own revenue, margins, and operating expenses or expenditure in your assigned business unit to achieve monthly and annual business plan projections and forecasts in partnership with Operations Manager.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive fire suppression and fire extinguisher installation responsibilities or related.
- Leadership Experience: 1+ years of proven supervisory or management experience to include demonstrated abilities in leading teams of technicians highly preferred.
- Route-Based Experience: 1+ years leading route-based teams.
- Education: High school or GED required; College Degree in business management or related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Industry Knowledge: Direct experience with Service Trade a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
