Job Description:

Cosco Fire Protection is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team in Spokane, Washington. As a Fire Sprinkler Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing fire sprinkler systems for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Responsibilities:
    • Develop detailed shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, and stock lists to ensure compliance with NFPA/local/state codes and project specifications.
    • Complete accurate field surveys as needed.
    • Coordinate shop drawings with the MEP team and General Contractors.
    • Develop submittal packages for AHJ, Contractors, etc. and obtain all required approvals.
  • Project Management Responsibilities:
    • Purchase materials, review draft change orders, generate RFIs, and prepare and maintain project schedules.
    • Communicate with field personnel, AHJ's, customers, sales reps, and field superintendents.
    • Retain full project responsibility for approvals, material procurement, coordination, and schedule.
    • Attend all project-related meetings.
    • Perform other job duties as assigned/required.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in Fire Protection Design.
  • Must have experience working with AutoCAD and Fire Sprinkler Design Software.
  • Experience with Revit, NavisWorks, and AutoSprink is a plus.
  • NICET II certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • NICET III certification.
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
