Guidepost Montessori Edgewater is currently seeking an Infant Nido Teacher who is passionate about the Montessori philosophy. At Guidepost, we provide an enriching experience that transcends traditional daycare settings.
Your responsibilities:

As a pivotal member of our educational team, you will establish and manage a model classroom environment. Collaborating closely with families, you will cater to each child's unique needs while fostering a strong sense of community within your classroom. You will have access to a comprehensive array of high-quality materials to support child development, along with a dedicated classroom budget to personalize your space. Upon joining, you will receive specialized, in-house training from an expert in the Montessori approach to early childhood education.

We are eager to connect with you if you:
  • Are interested in obtaining Montessori certification for the 0-3 year age group and are familiar with child-centered educational philosophies such as Reggio Emilia or Montessori
  • Meet teacher qualification standards in the state of Illinois as per DCFS guidelines
  • Have experience working with young children in group settings, such as preschools, daycare centers, or nurseries
  • Empower children by providing them with the tools for independence
  • Are open to mentoring colleagues and receiving guidance in return
