About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our team at Guidepost Montessori. As a key member of our infant program, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the growth and development of our youngest students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development: Observe and understand the physical, intellectual, and emotional needs of each child, and provide individualized support to meet their unique needs.
  • Environment Preparation: Prepare a beautiful and orderly environment that promotes trust, exploration, and deep learning, and cultivates independence and self-confidence in children.
  • Communication: Form personal connections with each child and their families, and communicate effectively with parents to provide the best possible care for every child.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment that promotes the well-being and success of all children.
Requirements
  • Education: Pursuing or having completed a Montessori diploma through our Prepared Montessorian Institute or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience working with children ages 0-3 in a group setting, such as daycare, aftercare, or nursery.
  • Skills: Familiarity with child-led philosophies such as Reggio Emilia or Montessori, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development credits, and a Bachelor's Degree in any subject.
