Job Title: Direct Support Professional

Mount Olivet Rolling Acres is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as mental health needs, in their daily lives.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional will assist clients with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, medical needs, and recreational activities. This role requires a strong commitment to providing person-centered care, promoting independence, and fostering a sense of community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with daily cares, medical needs, and supports, including ADLs and mental health supports.
  • Develop and implement daily routines that promote choice and independence.
  • Plan and implement recreational activities, leisure time usage, and community outings.
  • Provide transportation to appointments and community activities using a company vehicle.
  • Assist clients in establishing and maintaining community relationships and friendships.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client progress and needs.
  • Collaborate with the support team to develop and implement individualized plans.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check and maintain qualified status.
  • Valid current driver's license and vehicle insurance.
  • Successful completion of Medication Administration class and regular passing of medications without error.
