Job Summary:

The Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) is a key leadership position at the Arizona State Hospital, responsible for overseeing the hospital's Psychology, Rehabilitation, and Social Services Departments. This role requires strategic planning, collaboration with administrators and other disciplines, and a deep understanding of mental health laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement clinical programs, objectives, and implementation procedures using evidence-based practices.
  • Direct the work of professional staff, establish and maintain high departmental standards, and work effectively with others.
  • Coordinate all clinical services within the hospital, delineate roles and expectations for non-nursing clinical staff, and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory processes.
  • Participate in the development of policies, serve on various committees, and promote the Arizona State Hospital as a source of mental health expertise.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a corresponding Arizona license in good standing.
  • Ability to obtain a valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and a valid AZ State Driver's License.
