KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively manage essential HR functions. Accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to fulfill the necessary job responsibilities.

Investigate and address issues related to employee leaves and benefits, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations while maintaining accurate documentation. Offer guidance to staff and management concerning FMLA, Personal Leave of Absence (PLOA), and relevant state and federal laws governing leaves. Communicate leave and benefit information to team members through prepared materials and follow-up communications. Handle and resolve inquiries related to payroll. Review and authorize salary adjustments and status changes in line with established policies and procedures. Clarify benefit policies and procedures to assist team members with their inquiries and concerns. Enhance professional knowledge by participating in educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, and engaging with professional networks. Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, including Oracle system management and all HR-related activities. Collect, organize, and monitor all unemployment information as required by state and federal guidelines. Address and mediate employee relations and labor relations conflicts. Coordinate hearings for the Horseshoe Board of Review. Manage the enrollment and tracking of mandatory training programs for employees. Perform additional tasks as assigned.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. At least 1 year of experience in Human Resources or recruitment. Familiarity with HRMS/HRIS systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook). Flexibility in work schedule is essential. PHR or SPHR certification is preferred. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in tracking and training related to FMLA, LOA, and ADA. Understanding of administrative responsibilities and tasks. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Knowledge of state and federal employment laws. Familiarity with personnel and compliance record management. Advanced computer skills, including data entry and HR software. Strong critical thinking and resourcefulness. Leadership and mentoring capabilities. High level of empathy and interpersonal skills. Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
