Job Title: Staff Clinician and Group Coordinator

Georgetown University is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Clinician and Group Coordinator to join our Counseling and Psychiatric Service (CAPS) team. As a key member of our mental health team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our students and supporting the overall mission of CAPS.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the groups program, including planning, leading, and evaluating groups to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Develop and implement group agreements and client handouts to promote a safe and supportive group environment.
  • Collaborate with staff and trainees to ensure understanding and adherence to group policy and agreements.
  • Facilitate staff peer supervision and lead biweekly one-hour staff group supervision to promote team development and growth.
  • Present on group theory and dynamics to train predoctoral externs and postdoctoral fellows.
  • Provide licensed supervision to unlicensed trainees and co-facilitate groups as needed.
  • Serve as a primary consultant for group-related crises, questions, and ethical dilemmas.
  • Field group program-related questions from students and campus partners throughout the year.
  • Consult with campus stakeholders and students on facilitating informal support spaces on campus.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology or a related field, or an MSW with licensure in the District of Columbia as a social worker or psychologist.
  • Preference for within one year (maximum 2 years) of the start date for psychologists who are not yet licensed.
  • College mental health experience and demonstrable experience working with the issues noted above are preferred.
Work Mode:

This is a hybrid position, with a mix of on-campus and remote work. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed to meet the evolving needs of the University.

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position is $54,000 - $100,493.33, based on a number of factors including the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
