Job Title: Staff Clinician and Group Coordinator

Georgetown University is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Clinician and Group Coordinator to join our Counseling and Psychiatric Service (CAPS) team. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our students.

Job Summary:

The Staff Clinician and Group Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the groups program, planning and leading groups, and ensuring the smooth operation of our group therapy services. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of mental health professionals and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the groups program, including planning, leading, and evaluating groups
  • Collaborate with CAPS staff and trainees to ensure the effective delivery of group therapy services
  • Develop and implement group agreements and client handouts
  • Facilitate staff peer supervision and provide consultation on group practice
  • Present on group theory and dynamics for training seminars
  • Provide licensed supervision to unlicensed trainees
  • Serve as a primary consultation for group-related crises and questions
Requirements and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have a Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology or a related field, and licensure in the District of Columbia as a social worker or psychologist. Preferred qualifications include college mental health experience and demonstrable experience working with the issues noted above.

Work Mode:

This is a hybrid position, with a mix of in-person and remote work. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed to meet the evolving needs of the University.
