Job Summary

Georgetown University is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) team, you will provide psychotherapy, counseling, outreach, and consultation services to Georgetown students, as well as consultations to deans, faculty, staff, and parents.

This is a hybrid position, with a mix of in-person and remote work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychology, social work, or a related field, and will be able to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and crisis intervention to GU students, with a focus on students of color and those from marginalized identities.
  • Develop and implement outreach programming and consultation to University offices and students.
  • Supervise trainees as designated by the Associate Director for Training.
  • Manage notes and documentation, attending meetings and completing other responsibilities as designated by supervisor and/or Director.
Requirements and Qualifications

MSW, Ph.D., Ed.D., or Psy.D. degree required. Demonstrated experience as a psychologist or social worker is preferred. D.C. license in psychology or social work must be obtained within one year of hire date.

Previous experience in a university counseling center providing outreach services to the student population is highly preferred.
