Position: Technical Sales Consultant

Job Overview:

Arrow Electronics is seeking a seasoned Technical Sales Consultant to connect with clients across various markets, generating interest in our suppliers' offerings.

As a prominent electronic component distributor, Arrow Electronics provides design engineers with unparalleled technical knowledge and localized global design assistance for cutting-edge products from the world's leading suppliers in RF, Wireless, IoT, and Power Technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture impactful relationships with clients, suppliers, and Arrow Electronics partners, driving demand for our products through proactive engineering and supply chain solutions.
  • Focus on demand generation and relationship management, particularly for complex, emerging, or underrepresented prospects.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of Arrow Electronics' solutions, aligning them with customer business requirements.
  • Identify and create new opportunities within accounts, leveraging technical resources as necessary.
  • Foster supplier and customer engineering relationships at multiple organizational levels.
  • Utilize distribution, representative, and supplier insights to enhance market share and sales.
  • Conduct regular visits to client facilities to promote Arrow Electronics' franchised lines and services.
  • Develop selling opportunities through a strategic discovery process.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of client needs and translate those into actionable opportunities for Arrow Electronics.
  • Implement solution selling strategies based on a solid grasp of Arrow Electronics' supply chain solutions and design methodologies.
  • Maximize profits and margins by promoting value-added, long-term solutions with a focus on demand creation and engineering.
  • Stay informed on product knowledge and pursue technical certifications as necessary.
  • Attend supplier training events to remain current on product lines.
  • Maintain accurate supplier databases and design registration information.
  • Stay updated on relevant technologies within the customer base and participate in training as required.
  • Guide others in resolving complex issues within specialized areas based on established solutions and procedures.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert within your discipline and a resource for best practices on functional teams or projects.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members.

Qualifications:

Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a 4-year degree; or 8 years with an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.

Must possess a strong understanding of the territory and have industry knowledge.

A drive for success is essential.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Semiconductor Sales.
  • Background in Distribution Representation.
  • Experience as a Manufacturer's Representative.
  • OEM Representation experience.

Work Arrangement:

This position is fully remote, with occasional travel to Arrow Electronics offices as required by leadership.
