Position: Educational Program Consultant (6-12 Literacy) - Part-time

Role Overview: We are in search of a part-time Educational Program Consultant to join our team in Northern New Jersey. This role encompasses the following responsibilities:

  • Expertise in K-12 Education: Possess in-depth knowledge in assigned content areas, including literacy, math, science, and humanities.
  • Sales and Market Engagement: Act as a sales representative for designated regions, focusing on achieving market revenue objectives.
  • Training and Support: Deliver sales presentations and introductory product orientation for print, digital, and blended programs, collaborating with other specialists in the region.
  • Passion for Education: Demonstrate a strong commitment to K-12 education, guiding educators in making informed decisions regarding learning outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Standards: Maintain expertise in national education standards, current pedagogical practices, and market trends.
  • Effective Communication: Exhibit exceptional communication skills to engage with K-12 personnel at all levels, from superintendents to classroom teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compelling presentations throughout the sales cycle, covering essential customer touchpoints.
  • Provide Pilot Activation Trainings and maintain ongoing communication with pilot teachers.
  • Gather and relay customer feedback to sales, product, and marketing teams.
  • Ensure content expertise through the Savvas Learning Company certification process.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers during and after the sales cycle to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in K-12 education, including classroom teaching.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Advanced certification or specialty training is advantageous.
  • Expertise in education theory and market trends in Literacy.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in sales and service within the education sector is desirable.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel regionally, sometimes on short notice.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Strong collaboration skills with various departments to address customer satisfaction.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to manage personal training and preparedness.
