Sanitation Manager in Training Position

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing the cleaning and sanitizing operations of the plant to maintain conformance to USDA standards. The Sanitation Manager in Training will be responsible for directing the cleaning and sanitizing of the plant, supervising sanitation employees, and developing sanitation procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), USDA and FDA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the sanitation department, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Supervise, train, and develop sanitation employees to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Assist in performing regular housekeeping audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement new methods, procedures, and systems to improve sanitation performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct safety training to comply with OSHA regulations and company standards.
  • Maintain all pertinent records, reports, and other paperwork as needed.
  • Partner with production and maintenance resources to meet plant objectives.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of sanitation experience in a related field.
  • 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external partners.
  • Ability to work other days/hours as needed.
  • MUST be able to relocate if needed.

Education Requirement: High School Diploma/GED required. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
