**Job Summary:**

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Food Production and Quality Control:** Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
  • **Menu Development:** Create innovative menus that cater to a variety of tastes and dietary restrictions.
  • **Team Leadership:** Lead and manage a team of chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • **Inventory Management:** Maintain inventory levels and control food costs by utilizing proper portion control techniques.
  • **Quality Assurance:** Ensure that all food produced meets or exceeds guest expectations in terms of taste, presentation, quality, and consistency.
  • **Employee Management:** Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating performance, and disciplining employees in the culinary department.
  • **Kitchen Safety and Sanitation:** Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen by enforcing proper sanitation procedures.
  • **Vendor Relationships:** Develop relationships with local vendors to source fresh ingredients at competitive prices.
  • **Budgeting and Forecasting:** Work closely with the Food and Beverage Director to create a budget for the culinary department while ensuring profitability goals are met.
  • **Industry Trends and Best Practices:** Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new cooking techniques to continuously improve menu offerings.

**Qualifications:**

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a hotel or fine-dining restaurant setting.
  • A culinary degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Proven track record of creating successful menus that cater to different tastes and dietary needs.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving goals.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
