Job Overview

Position: Security Operations Support Specialist

Cape Fox Corporation is in search of a qualified Security Operations Support Specialist to join our team. This role is integral to our corporate security efforts and will report directly to the Facility Security Officer (FSO) / Director of Contracts.

The Security Operations Support Specialist will assist in the management of both standard security protocols and specialized access initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing security strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Fostering a culture of security awareness and education within the organization.
  • Maintaining productive relationships with government entities to ensure compliance with security regulations.
  • Overseeing daily security operations and execution of security measures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing personnel clearances, including nominations, tracking, indoctrinations, reporting, and debriefs.
  • Guiding staff in the utilization of electronic forms for clearance applications.
  • Conducting inspections and audits to ensure adherence to security standards.
  • Creating and revising security documentation, including plans and procedures.
  • Participating in and enhancing ongoing security training programs.
  • Assisting the Contracts Department with related tasks as needed.

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel expected (0 - 10%).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as security or information systems is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain an active Top-Secret security clearance.
  • Experience in a contractor role managing special access and industrial security operations for the U.S. Department of Defense or intelligence community.
  • Familiarity with NISPOM, ICDs, and relevant Executive Orders.
  • Extensive experience with the DCSA Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and DISS.
  • Understanding of OPSEC protocols and their application to Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Authorization to work in the United States as per the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

Preferred Experience

  • Two or more years of experience in a similar role, including:
  • Management of personnel clearances within the NISP framework.
  • Training in JPAS/DISS.
  • Understanding of NISP reporting requirements.
  • Coordination of visits and meetings within the NISP.
