Leidos is seeking a Security Operations Specialist to oversee critical security functions within the organization.

Role Summary:
The Security Operations Specialist will be responsible for a comprehensive range of security operations in support of sensitive information security programs. This includes the management of secure facilities and ensuring compliance with national security directives.

Key Responsibilities:
Below are the primary duties associated with this role:
* Maintain and enforce relevant security directives and regulations to effectively carry out security responsibilities.
* Ensure that sensitive information is properly managed, safeguarded, and transmitted in accordance with established protocols.
* Conduct investigations into security breaches and prepare necessary documentation.
* Collaborate with security officials to ensure mission success across all security levels.
* Implement personnel and physical security measures, including technical surveillance countermeasures.
* Provide security training and awareness programs as required.
* Manage all aspects of personnel security processes, including interviews and access validation.
* Certify and manage visitor clearances and access requests.
* Process security-related inquiries and assist in maintaining security information files.
* Ensure compliance with physical security standards for secure facilities and prepare necessary accreditation documentation.
* Conduct annual self-assessments of security programs.
* Act as an alternative custodian for communication security materials.

Basic Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience (experience may substitute for education).
* At least 4 years of full-time experience in security disciplines, particularly in personnel and physical security.
* Ability to operate independently and possess a thorough understanding of security principles and practices.
* Familiarity with Intelligence Community Directives and Department of Defense regulations.
* Strong analytical skills to assess information and resolve security-related issues.
* Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Completion of formal security training and relevant physical security courses within the last five years.
* Experience with centralized security management systems.
