Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clerical Operations Specialist to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our support staff, you will be responsible for providing advanced clerical services in various areas, including bookkeeping, inventory control, statistics, employment, human resources, purchasing, mail processing, and accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and tabulate data, checking documents for accuracy and maintaining files.
  • Train others in clerical procedures and provide guidance as needed.
  • Work under limited supervision, utilizing initiative and independent judgment to complete tasks.
  • Interact with community agencies, staff, and the general public, providing program and agency information and making referrals to other community resources.
  • Perform data entry into electronic programs and systems, including IMPACT.
  • Answer inquiries regarding policies and procedures, and provide support for multiple units/programs.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple assignments and priorities.
  • Knowledge of office procedures, business terminology, and records administration techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
