Job Title: Clerk, Intake Specialist II

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clerk, Intake Specialist II to join our team at Elevance Health. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties, including receiving and processing documents, making phone calls, and maintaining records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, classify, and reconcile documents and information; process and code documents.
  • Make and receive phone calls to exchange information and accomplish tasks.
  • Set up and maintain records, logs, and files.
  • Compile regular and special reports using established formats and procedures.
  • Contact customers, suppliers, or company associates to exchange information.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain various types of equipment for purposes of filming claims, correspondence, and other related documents.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail.
  • Develop and make copies of original film.
  • Verify unrecognized characters and flag quality issues as they arise.
  • Complete and maintain production logs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of related work experience; or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience in PC and PC office software required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.

Work Environment:

This is a non-management, non-exempt position. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm CST. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
