Position Summary


Urbanex is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Team Lead to enhance our Nashville operations. The successful candidate will bring a solid background in billing and collections along with leadership experience, capable of effectively managing team members. This position demands a self-motivated individual with exceptional communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide the billing and collections team, offering support, mentorship, and training as necessary.
  • Formulate and execute strategies to enhance billing and collections workflows, including optimizing processes and applying best practices.
  • Review accounts receivable aging reports and proactively address overdue accounts.
  • Compile and present regular updates on billing and collections performance to senior leadership, emphasizing key metrics, trends, and areas for enhancement.
  • Build and maintain client relationships to resolve payment issues and promote customer satisfaction.
  • Manage team schedules and workload distribution to ensure sufficient coverage and prompt responses to customer inquiries.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in billing, including a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
  • Thorough understanding of billing and collections processes, including invoicing, payment posting, and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated success in managing teams and driving performance improvements.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing various priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with billing software or ERP systems.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to assess data, identify trends, and create actionable insights to improve performance.
  • Experience with customer service software and tools, with a preference for familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as necessary to support team operations.
