Job Title: Industrial Operations Supervisor

At Hepaco Inc, we are seeking an experienced Industrial Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising and performing a range of tasks required for industrial service operations, including tank cleaning, pipeline maintenance, manual remediation services, waste bulking, and demolition services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations, guidelines, and policies, including DOT, OSHA, and HEPACO safety rules.
  • Establish decontamination stations, ensure proper levels of person protection, and conduct site safety meetings.
  • Effectively manage all phases of assigned on-site projects, including resource scheduling and supervision, communication with clients, and leading and instructing subordinates.
  • Perform administrative and accounting tasks, maintain daily activities log books, and ensure all activity is properly documented.
  • Coordinate purchases with management as required.
  • Load and unload equipment from vehicles, trailers, and watercraft.
  • Safely operate heavy equipment and use tools and equipment for cleanup operations.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained, repaired, and in maximum operating condition.
  • Perform physical labor associated with cleanup activities, sample collection, waste removal, and other remediation services.
  • Warehouse maintenance, stock supplies, and building maintenance.
  • Complete required paperwork, forms, and records as required.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignments.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels.
  • Must demonstrate advanced knowledge of operations and ability to safely operate assigned equipment.
  • Must be able to train Environmental Technicians on Company operating and safety procedures.
Working Conditions:

Must be able to satisfactorily pass a pre-employment and annual physical examination as required under HEPACO's Medical Surveillance Program. Regularly requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, running, climbing, squatting, and kneeling. Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required tasks. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds or more with assistance.

In addition to normal business hours, work schedules may include after-hours and weekends as needed. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold, and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by established Company Safety standards, including the occasional use of a respirator. Must be willing and able to enter into and work in confined and dark spaces, as well as in small boats, and at heights in excess of 18 feet for prolonged periods of time. Frequent travel is required.

General awareness of hazardous materials communication standards and regulations, knowledge of emergency response information related to hazmat loads, HAZMAT policies, security awareness, and possible security threats.
