Position: Facilities Maintenance Lead


Core Objective: The Facilities Maintenance Lead will play a crucial role within the maintenance division, reporting to the engineering and facilities sector. This position entails overseeing a group of technicians and specialists, ensuring the efficient functioning of our automated systems, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, maximizing equipment performance, and promoting a safe working environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of maintenance professionals in executing preventive and corrective maintenance on automated systems.
  • Design and implement preventive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
  • Supervise the installation and commissioning of new machinery and systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve intricate technical challenges related to automated systems.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to all maintenance personnel.
  • Organize and assess daily maintenance tasks and inspections to ensure completion.
  • Review inspections and preventive maintenance to identify necessary repairs without disrupting operations.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of operational departments.
  • Report daily mechanical equipment performance and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Document and track all maintenance activities on both paper and electronic systems.
  • Analyze problems to perform root cause analysis and develop solutions to maintain high uptime.
  • Conduct risk assessments of maintenance processes and inventory.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement of replacement components.
  • Establish and uphold a safe working environment for the maintenance team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and safety, to enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain the 5S program throughout the maintenance and operations teams.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance of automated systems in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting PLCs and working with electrical systems up to 480V.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Skilled in using electrical and mechanical testing equipment.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of identifying mechanical issues and assessing risks that may affect equipment or operations.
  • Experience with CMMS is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software for report generation, log creation, and inventory tracking.
