Division Chief Opportunity in Child Neurology

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Child Neurologist to serve as the Division Chief of our esteemed Child Neurology program at VCU Health - MCV Physicians. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to lead a multi-disciplinary team and drive excellence in patient care, education, and research.

About the Position

This Open Rank faculty position offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment, providing state-of-the-art comprehensive patient-centered neurological care for children. As Division Chief, you will oversee all aspects of neurological care, lead clinical support functions, and develop strategic plans to advance the field of child neurology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cutting-edge clinical programs, algorithms, and pathways for child neurology patients
  • Leverage expertise to provide oversight for program safety and quality, ensuring exceptional patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and stimulate innovative research opportunities, including multi-investigator grants
  • Foster a culture of excellence by recruiting and mentoring academic clinicians and translational and clinical investigators
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Medical Doctor (MD) or MD/PhD degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of a neurology residency and child neurology fellowship at an accredited institution
  • Eligibility for licensure in Virginia and board certification or eligibility in Neurology (ABPN)

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range estimated between $300,000 and $600,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
