About the Role:

The Department of Neurology at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Child Neurologist with expertise in Epileptology to join our team.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

This esteemed position entails providing top-notch care to pediatric patients suffering from neurological disorders, particularly epilepsy. The ideal candidate must possess an MD/DO degree, completed residency training at an accredited institution, and be certified or eligible for certification in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology and Epilepsy.

A postgraduate fellowship in Epilepsy is highly valued but not mandatory.

To excel in this position, you should have exceptional communication skills, a passion for education, and experience teaching medical students, neurology residents, and fellows.

In addition to delivering outstanding patient care, you will be expected to participate actively in departmental programs and contribute positively to a diverse work environment.

Requirements:

  • Board-certification or eligibility in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology and Epilepsy
  • Postgraduate fellowship in Epilepsy (preferred)
  • Strong background in teaching and mentoring
  • Demonstrated ability to foster diversity and inclusivity within the workplace

VCU Health offers an attractive compensation package that includes an estimated salary range of $ $250,000 - $350,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
