Duties

Summary

As an Office Administration Specialist, you will deliver analytical and administrative assistance for designated program sectors, operations, and activities within the Management & Program Support (MPS) Division.

The MPS Division offers administrative services, including the management, coordination, and oversight of administrative, human resources, and financial functions in the Office of Enterprise Strategy Management.

We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional positions may be filled as necessary.

Responsibilities

Key duties include but are not limited to:

At the GS-7 level:

+ Provide administrative assistance to the organization and Assistant Commissioner within the Office of Enterprise & Strategic Management.

+ With guidance, oversee correspondence, records management, leave administration, and communication; maintain office supplies; coordinate onboarding processes for new employees; and assist with travel arrangements for management.

+ Aid in conducting analytical studies related to programs, activities, and operations.

+ Assist in identifying operational challenges, evaluating alternative solutions, and recommending suitable actions.

+ Support the application of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness and management of assigned programs, processes, projects, and activities.

At the GS-9 level:

+ Provide administrative assistance to the organization and Assistant Commissioner within the Office of Enterprise Strategy Management.

+ With guidance, perform analysis, evaluation, documentation, coordination, and implementation of administrative processes.

+ Prepare various correspondence and other written materials in connection with assigned programs and activities.

+ Create, maintain, and utilize a tracking system for organizational correspondence.

+ Provide travel assistance, coordinate reservations, and prepare travel itineraries, authorizations, and vouchers for managers.

+ With guidance, apply qualitative and/or quantitative methods to assess and improve the effectiveness and management of assigned programs, processes, projects, and activities.

+ Identify operational challenges, evaluate alternative solutions, and recommend appropriate actions.

+ The work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required.

The GS-7 salary range starts at $49,157.00 per year.

To qualify at the GS-7 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or higher in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as:

+ Administering and monitoring administrative, clerical, and internal management support functions for an organization;

+ Providing customer service to a wide array of internal and external customers;

+ Using spreadsheet software and word processing software to manage information, develop reports, and presentations;

+ Developing and maintaining tracking systems;

+ Coordinating multiple priorities for senior-level managers to ensure deadlines are met.

Possess one full year of graduate-level education (18 Semester hours or the equivalent).

OR

Meet the requirements for Superior Academic Achievement.
