The Research Medical Center Nurse Residency Program is a comprehensive training program designed to support the transition of new graduate nurses into the clinical setting. As a Nurse Residency Program Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the success of this program, working closely with experienced nurse leaders and educators to provide a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the Neuro Step Down Unit.
- Collaborate with medical providers and other members of the care team to provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care.
- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient for therapeutic response, and notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response to medication.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 1 year of employment.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
- No previous experience needed.
