Role Summary:

We are actively searching for a Hospital Risk Management Specialist for our esteemed client, a well-regarded healthcare institution. The specialist will play a crucial role in managing the risk management framework, ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute risk management strategies and protocols in alignment with relevant regulations.
  • Perform comprehensive risk evaluations to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities within the facility.
  • Work collaboratively with departmental leaders and personnel to uphold compliance with risk management standards.
  • Examine and assess incidents to uncover underlying causes and initiate corrective measures.
  • Design and deliver educational programs on risk management and safety practices for staff members.
  • Track and analyze incidents and claims, providing insights and recommendations to upper management.
  • Act as a point of contact with insurance providers and legal advisors regarding risk management issues.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry standards and regulations concerning risk management and adapt practices accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in risk management within a healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with state and federal laws pertaining to risk management and patient safety.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and risk management software.
