We are in search of a Hospital Risk Manager for our client, a well-respected healthcare institution in Columbus, GA.
The Hospital Risk Manager will oversee the risk management framework, ensuring the safety and welfare of patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Formulate and execute risk management policies and procedures in line with state and federal guidelines.
2. Perform risk evaluations and pinpoint potential hazards within the healthcare facility.
3. Collaborate with department leaders and personnel to guarantee adherence to risk management standards.
4. Examine and assess incidents and accidents to identify root causes and apply corrective measures.
5. Create and facilitate training sessions on risk management and safety protocols for staff.
6. Monitor and document incidents and claims, providing trend analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
7. Act as a liaison with insurance providers and legal advisors regarding risk management issues.
8. Stay informed on industry best practices and regulations concerning risk management, implementing necessary changes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in risk management within a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to risk management and patient safety.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
